Delvaux brings Haute Maroquinerie into Bloom

Delvaux explores Haute Maroquinerie through the precision of its techniques and its mastery of leather, which finds its fullest expression in “Arsenal leather", la Maison’s signature interlocking construction.

Exceptional materials, precise construction and meticulous handwork open new possibilities for la Maison’s emblematic shapes. Le Brillant, le Tempête and le Pin become canvases for experimentation, revealing the breadth of Delvaux’s craft as the Architect of Leather.

At the heart of this approach is “Arsenal leather", bringing exceptional design into dialogue with a material entirely reinvented by la Maison.  A full hide of leather is carefully cut into double D elements, each individually edge-painted before being linked by hand, one by one, into an assembly reminiscent of chain mail, with extraordinary suppleness. Its geometric pattern takes its cue from the brickwork of la Maison’s Brussels headquarters, L’Arsenal.

The seasonal floral creations draw on Belgium’s artistic heritage, from the exuberant precision of seventeenth-century Flemish flower painting to the organic lines of Brussels Art Nouveau. Wild Bloom translates these influences into volume: tulips, bell flowers and leaves emerge from the surface through leather marquetry.

Botanica offers a more graphic interpretation of this botanical world, combining inlaid and applied leather to create a flatter, almost pressed-flower effect. On certain pieces, petals, stems and leaves travel continuously across the bag, turning construction into composition. Flemish precision meets a surreal instinct in a garden where leather, quite naturally, begins to grow.   

The campaign brings these expressions together in a romantic, dreamlike setting, where flowers appear on the bags, across faces and throughout the landscape, against skies recalling the shifting tones of a Belgian autumn.
